Gabbi started his DJ career in 1995 in Portugal, bagging himself his first residency in 1996 in one of the first Techno clubs ‘X-tema’ in north Portugal. In the same year Gabbi managed to play some of the largest Portuguese clubs at the time (‘Rocks’, ‘Enseada’) as well as doing a radio show on a local station. It was back in those days, that Gabbi started to get interest in electronic music with some of his friends. 1998 would be a year of change, Gabbi moved to London to start a University course on Music Production. Musically he specialised on House Parties and illegal Squat Parties.
1999 brought along another residency at ‘Circle Bar’ and a weekend job at the ‘Prime Record Store’ on Kensington Street, which broadened Gabbi’s knowledge of music genres. It wasn’t long when he was invited to play at infamous ‘Tony’s After Hours’ in Kings Cross, which was just the start of getting into London’s club circuit.
Always working his best when on the decks, it comes as no surprise that Gabbi bagged another residency at ‘Frequency’ parties playing alongside DJ’s like Jay Tripwire, Terry Francis, Richard Gray ,dave mothersole, Tyler Stadius, etc. british tech house at its best In 2003 Gabbi moved to trendy Brick lane, which saw him getting another residency at ‘Cafe 1001’ and started his very own music productions.
Since then he’s been playing many of the top clubs in London (Pacha, Ministry of sound, aka, the key etc…),his long deep and dynamic sets has made him a reference name with the east London party scene , and the Brick lane club community. He’s been involved in projects like very successful ‘Brickbeat’, promoting underground parties around London’s Shoreditch.
Currently he’s focusing on producing more of his own tracks. Aswell as with other artists with a few releases in some very well know inprints.
